You Will Find Me –
God has promised that He will be with us, never fail or abandon us (Deuteronomy 31:6), because we are His (Isaiah 43:1).
Please recognize that our identity is determined by God, not by our actions and behaviors, and it remains the same regardless of the decisions we make in this life. He is constant and unfailing.
In a similar, though less perfect, way, the people who truly love us will also be with us regardless of our actions and decisions.
And when we look for God and seek Him, He will be found (today’s verse).
Is it possible that – Our relationship with God is only affected by us?
Could our attitude toward Him be affecting our relationship? Are we looking for Him and desiring a growing relationship with Him, or are we not interested in knowing Him?
God is always available, and He desires a growing relationship with us. He designed the Father-child relationship from the beginning of time, and He hasn’t changed it.
Like the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), our Father God patiently waits and watches for us to turn to Him (look for Him), and when we do, He embraces us in Love, honors us, and celebrates us. He covers our filthy lives with the robe of grace and forgiveness.
When we look for Him and turn to Him, we will find Him. “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” James 4:8a
Thank You, Father, for Your constant willingness to forgive us and Your availability to us. Help us look for You, come close to You, and experience Your grace, forgiveness, and Love.
