Right With God –
Truths That Transform: We are right with God by faith in Jesus Christ.
That’s what we want, what we need, isn’t it? To be right with God?
For many centuries before Christ, the people who worshipped God tried their best to live according to God’s laws, beginning with the Ten Commandments and later with the first five books, which were all that existed at the time of God’s written word.
When God sent Jesus, He changed everything. And when He died for us, we who believe in Him as Savior became right with God forever. God did this for us through Jesus because we could never achieve it by ourselves; we could never obey!
Now, today, we live in this Grace, the undeserved and unearned favor of the perfect, loving Father God.
Please understand, His Grace is a gift. We cannot earn it through any good deeds, nor can we lose His gift of Grace. We simply continue to place our faith in Jesus.
We can still do good things because we are grateful and so greatly blessed to be right with God. But not out of obligation or a vain attempt to earn His priceless gift.
Thank You, Father, that You have so readily given us the gift of Right-standing with You. Help us fully accept Your gift, and to respond in grateful service to You for all You’ve done for us.
