He Cares –
Truths That Transform: God cares about you.
We are invited and encouraged to give ALL our problems to Him. All our fears, worries, needs, anxiety, and (anything else that is plaguing our minds!) we can release to God.
Other translations read, “Cast all your cares upon Him.” Casting brings to mind: tossing out, abandoning, releasing, letting go, and similar thoughts. We can just get rid of it! And when we do, we can be finished with it.
If we’re carrying a heavy weight and someone offers to carry it for us, and we give it to them, we no longer carry it; we don’t feel the pressure or strain with each step or the pain in our arms and back. It is no longer ours; it’s gone!
But we can always take it back; resume the struggle, concern, worry, and anxiety as if we’d never given it to another. God allows us to take it back, but He doesn’t need or want us to. What God wants is for us to give it to Him and be free, free from the weight, pain, and suffering of ALL of our worries and problems.
Because He cares about us, He allows us to give it all to Him. He can handle it; we cannot. So we pray, ask Him to help us release it, to let go and give it to the One who cares about us. Each time it comes to mind, pray and give it all to Him. He will never disappoint.
Thank You, Father, for such wonderful Truth. Help us to let go and give it all to You because You care for us.
