Today’s Encouragement is, “For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:17 ESV
Reign In Life –
“Because of one man’s sin,” this man is Adam, and death began to reign when he sinned. (Romans 5:12)
Today, through Jesus Christ, we are those who have received “the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness.” And we now, Reign In Life!
Death reigns over those who do not receive the free gift of salvation. But Life reigns over us, and we reign in Life.
A king or queen reigns over the kingdom. The rule is complete and cannot be questioned. Is it possible that – you and I similarly reign over our lives? This reign is “in Life.” It is a growing, changing, thriving life, an abundant Life. Jesus said that He is The Life. We certainly don’t reign over Him, but is it possible that, in Him, and through Him, we do reign in Life?
What does the Bible say?
We have eternal life. (John 3:16)
We are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37)
Death is defeated. (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)
Sin is washed away. (1 John 1:9)
We are the brothers and sisters of Jesus. (Hebrews 2:11)
You tell me, is that not – Reigning In Life?
Father, we are continuously amazed at all You reveal to us in Your Book. Thank You for allowing us to Reign In Life through Jesus. Help us grow to understand the depths of all You have done for us through Him.
