Today’s Encouragement is, “This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 NLT
We will rejoice-
Is it possible that we have a choice? That we aren’t the victims of our circumstances? That, regardless of the troubles, challenges, and even the overwhelming obstacles we are facing… we can still choose… To rejoice…?
Even when we don’t feel like it.
Even when we can’t see any reason for joy…
Is it possible?
Did God send Jesus to live and die and return from death, and in doing this, set us free from death… so that we could live in misery, depression, and addiction; in resentful, anxious, and sorrowful lives?
When we focus on this world around us, our own problems, the crime, war, suffering, and heartbreak that we see everywhere… we can easily lose our focus and even forget… the Truth! The Truth that – we have been, and now are – set free from all of this! – From all the decay of society, the death of life as we know it… We are not of this world!
We are only here for a tiny portion of our eternal lives, my friend! The Truth is… all of this shall pass away and we, who are of eternity… can choose, today, now, regardless of our circumstances… to Rejoice in Our Father, the Lord! He has set us free from death and all the forms of dying which surround us in this life!
We are free to choose!
Father God, help us choose to Rejoice! – as we focus on You and all You have done, all that You are now doing, and all that You will do!
