Right With God

Today’s Encouragement is, “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT

Right With God –

Christ has made us right with God. This is righteousness, the state of being in a perfect, right relationship with God. We could never achieve this through our own actions, thoughts, and words; we are all far too imperfect! But Jesus, the Perfect One, our Savior and Deliverer, has transformed us, from selfish, sinful, dying, lost souls, to pure, clean, and eternal righteous children of God.

This transformation occurs through Faith in Him. Abraham, centuries before Jesus, believed in God (had faith in God) and was considered righteous (Genesis 15:6).

Jesus lived, died, and rose again so that everyone who believes in Him could also be righteous.

Don’t feel very righteous? That’s probably a good thing. Recognizing and admitting our failures and sins is honesty! But the Truth is not constrained by our feelings. Jesus is the Truth, and He says that we are right with God through Him.

“And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.” Romans 5:9 NLT

We can either believe that we are right in God’s sight or reject this truth. But our feelings don’t have any impact on the Truth.

Father, we can never be grateful enough for all You have done! Help us to be consciously aware of our Righteousness through Jesus, the right relationship we now have with You, because of Jesus!
