Merely A Whisper

Today’s Encouragement is, “These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?” Job 26:14 NLT

Merely A Whisper –

In the preceding verses, Job described God’s infinite power of creation and concluded that all of His amazing creation is “merely a whisper of His power!”

We often look at creation in amazement, the universe, the sun and stars, plants, animals, and humankind, all creation truly is amazing! Yet my friend, all of creation is “just the beginning of all He does, merely a whisper” of the indescribable, unlimited power of our God!

His ways and thoughts are immeasurably higher than ours. “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 NLT

His wisdom and knowledge are far beyond our understanding. “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!” Romans 11:33 NLT

And yet, this infinite, indescribable, and inexplicable God wants us to know Him and love Him, so He sent us Jesus so that we could know who He is! And not only know about Him, but also have a right relationship with Him, to know Him as our Father. Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father!” John 14:9 NLT

Thank You, Father, for sending Jesus to show us what You are like, Your nature, Your grace, and Your Love for us. Help us to appropriately stand in awe of who You are. Even though we cannot completely comprehend You, we are amazed by Jesus, and all that You have shown us of Your perfect majesty!
