Today’s Encouragement is, “And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.” 2 Corinthians 1:10 NLT
He did and He will –
The essential reason for the Bible is Jesus! He is revealed throughout the entire OT in prophecy and in the examples of the leadership of God’s chosen men such as Moses, Joshua, Boaz, David, and many others. “When you seek Him, you will find Him.”
Yet here we see another purpose, assurance that God has already done great things, for His people, and through His people… and He will again do great things for and through His people!
Our understanding of what those “great things” might be, and often is, limited, or even obscured by our own limited ability to understand, but God isn’t limited by our misunderstandings, or anything else! His purpose remains and will be fulfilled!
He has rescued us, and He will rescue us again! And we now place our confidence in Him and He will continue to rescue us! He has done great things for, in, and through His people, and He will do it again!
Father, grant us faith-filled, patient, and confident hearts as we wait for You to rescue us from any and all the trials, worries, challenges, pain, sorrow, fears which so often plague us. We know that You have delivered us from death into Life through Christ, help us to be confident that You will also, continue to deliver us from the trials of this life – through our Faith in Him! We pray in Jesus’ Name.
