Today’s Encouragement is, “But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.” Luke 10:20 NLT
Rejoice Because –
His disciples had just returned from visiting many towns and villages, where they preached and performed many miracles, even commanding evil spirits to leave! And they had just returned to Jesus, rejoicing!
Jesus explained this critical truth to them.
The true cause for rejoicing is your salvation by faith in Jesus, and not because of what you do, or even because of what God can do through you.
Our salvation by faith is the greatest cause for rejoicing. Far more than any actions, deeds, or even any miracle we can do!
Faith trumps actions!
Let’s think about rejoicing. Most of us only get a few genuine moments of Joy in this life. These moments are many, or very few, according to our hearts. That is, our heart determines whether we respond to certain circumstances with joy or with something else.
A baby is born! For most, it’s a cause for celebration! But it could be seen as another burden, more work, just another mouth to feed!
It becomes clear that our perspective (attitude, outlook, or worldview) determines our response.
Our salvation is cause for rejoicing! Now and always! Our circumstances will change; we will experience both good and joyful times and bad and miserable times. By God’s Grace, our names are still registered in Heaven! So we can still, always, Rejoice!
Thank You, Our Father, for always exposing, teaching, and exemplifying the Truth. You consistently pull back the curtains of our circumstances to reveal what is True.
