Today’s Encouragement is, “One day, the Pharisees asked Jesus, ‘When will the Kingdom of God come?’ Jesus replied, ‘The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.’” Luke 17:20-21 NLT
Already –
We can’t see it.
There are no borders.
There is no palace, capital city, or physical throne.
Because – everything, every nation, every inch of land, even the ocean depths, the mountain peaks, the depths of the earth, and the entire universe, the planets and stars that we may never glimpse, all that exists, is God’s Kingdom. And what we cannot see, the spiritual reality of angels and powers and principalities, reigning over all, everything – Jesus is King! Eternally.
We mistakenly believe, at least, we act like the Kingdom of God is the same as Heaven. We think, one day, by and by, we will ‘be there.’
Is it possible that the kingdom of God is here already? Could you and I be ‘there’ already? Reread today’s verse. Jesus was clear, “The Kingdom of God is already among us!”
His Kingdom is spiritual, not physical. It is more real than this earthly life. It is eternal, unlimited by time and space, and we, along with all believers, comprise this kingdom. Christ is The King. He reigns in absolute power over everything in His Kingdom. And He listens to you and me!
Thank You, Father, for allowing us to live in Your Kingdom, now, already. Help us to understand the Truth of Your Kingdom, open our hearts and minds to Your Kingship, and our position as Your sons and daughters.
