Today’s Encouragement is, “And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5:15 ESV
The Prayer of Faith –
What “kind” of prayer are you praying? Is it a prayer of faith or is it a prayer of doubt? A prayer of faith is spoken in positive, hopeful, and trusting confidence in God’s mercy. and a prayer of faith results in grace, love, forgiveness, strength, and power!
A prayer of Faith: “Thank You, Father, that You give good gifts to Your people. I don’t deserve Your love and kindness, but You freely give it to me. I trust You. I need Your help, Your power. Please take care of this for me. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. And Thank You Father!”
But the prayer of doubt is weak, not confident, questioning God’s ability to do it, questioning His will to do what you are asking.
A prayer of doubt: “God, I don’t know if You can hear me. I need Your help, but I know that You have more important things to do than to listen to me. I’m sorry to bother you, but I need Your help with this. If You can. I sure hope You will. I know I’m asking a lot. Amen.”
Faith is the essence of prayer! Also, gratitude and thankfulness for all He has already done, and that He hears us!
Father, help us to always pray in faith, confident that You hear, You know, and You Love us. We choose to believe that You will always answer us.
In Jesus’ Name
