Clean –
Today’s Encouragement is, “For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22 NLT
We are already, now, perfectly clean before God. Jesus did this, we didn’t! His blood cleanses us, perfectly and eternally. This isn’t a one-time free pass; it is eternal! Because all our sins were in the future when Christ died for us, all our ‘future’ sins are also perfectly cleansed, covered, and erased by the blood of Christ. We now live in a state of Grace, perfectly forgiven, perfectly cleansed, and perfectly Loved!
Now, we get caught up too often in our own issues, problems, and failures. It’s normal, natural, but we don’t have to live that way! We can remind ourselves (through prayer and reading God’s Word) of our new nature, our new life in Christ.
Today, let’s just focus on being perfectly forgiven, cleansed from all that we have done, and even free from what others have done to us! We are Clean!
Father God, we are so grateful for all you have done for us, for what Jesus has done for us! Help us to rejoice in the freedom of the perfect cleanliness that Jesus has provided for us!
