Your Word

Today’s Encouragement is, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 NLT

Your Word –

Remember, because we have the Gospel message of Jesus, all references to God’s word in the Old Testament refer to both His written words, our Bible, but also to the Living Word of God, Jesus!

He is the complete Word of God. Perfect and comprehensive!  He and God are one! (John 10:30)

Today’s verse reveals that the Word (in both forms) is a lamp and a light.  And the Word guides and enlightens our footsteps, pathways, and roads, the direction of our lives.

“Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 NLT

God’s Word (both) not only guides us with light to see clearly, but also speaks to us, telling us the way to go.   His Holy Spirit, now living within us, speaks to us, guides us in life, in the best way to go.  So, through His written word, the life, acts, and words of Jesus, and His Spirit, God provides us His direction.

Such clarity results from our relationship; learning from the written word, prayerfully speaking to and listening to Jesus in prayer, trusting the voice of His Spirit, all these work together to support us, to guide our feet on His best path!

Thank You, Father, for all Your provisions!  Thank You that Your Word, Jesus, and Your Spirit are all leading us in Your Way, the best way, never failing, always enlightening, always present, always clear for our next step of faith.

Thy Word
