Today’s Encouragement is, [Jesus said,] “Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ (When he said living water, he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him.)” John 7:38-3a NLT
Living Water –
Jesus spoke of Living Water several times, and here He explains it. Living Water is God’s Holy Spirit. It flows freely, like a river, out of Jesus’ heart into anyone who believes in Jesus.
Now stop that! Don’t allow yourself to start arguing with God! We’re so quick to say, “But…”! We too often look at ourselves, our experience, our logical reasoning, and then try to argue with God’s Truth!
Instead of measuring and comparing ourselves against the Word of God (we will always lose in that game), we can choose to simply accept His Truth – by Faith, without having to fully understand.
So, accepting God’s Truth, we see clearly:
Living water is the Spirit of God,
The Spirit is given to everyone who believes in Jesus,
Living water flows from the heart of Jesus into us, everyone who believes, and
We can drink this living water.
So, my friend, are we drinking?
A taste occasionally?
A cup each day?
What if it were a daily intake?
What if it were the only thing we drank?
Thank You, our Father, for Your many and unlimited blessings. Help us accept by faith, the Living Water of Your Spirit, which flows from the heart of Jesus.
