Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 5:13 NLT For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Live in Freedom –
We have been called, invited, permitted to choose to live in the Freedom of Christ. Our choice – is to accept or reject.
And this Freedom is given to us to serve others, Love others as Christ has loved us. Not in bondage or obligation, but in true Freedom, caring for others with God’s Love.
This Freedom is provided to us…
So that…
we might Freely…
serve God…
by lovingly serving others.
So, it’s clear that this freedom is not for us to play with, not for our own gratification… but to honor God.
The way that we use our Freedom discloses the condition of our hearts.
When our Freedom is used to honor God (by showing His Love to others) then our hearts are revealed as aligned with His heart, ever-growing upward, maturing in Faith.
When our freedom is used for ourselves, it is clear that our hearts are self-focused and we will then begin to spiral out of control, ever moving toward death.
Father God, help us to use the wonderful Freedom You have provided, to Honor You by lovingly serving Your people, we pray in Jesus’ Name.
