Mercy on Everyone

Today’s Encouragement is Romans 11:32 NLT “For God has imprisoned everyone in disobedience so he could have mercy on everyone.”

Mercy on everyone-

The following verse provides more context… Romans 11:33 NLT “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!”

Ever wonder why God see the bar so high?  Why did He give us commandments which we are not able to keep?  Sure, most of the time we do okay, but it seems we slide back occasionally, or perhaps too often, and here we are again…

Jesus even compounded the commandments, making our achievement of obeying God truly impossible! He said, Matthew 5:22 NLT “But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment!”

We all then must acknowledge… we can’t be good enough, we can’t obey God well enough, we are all (see today’s verse) ‘imprisoned in disobedience’!

Why?  Because all have sinned! (Rom 3:23) and yet… God has mercy on everyone!

Mercy – so desperately needed, so freely given, so complete!

For those who accept Jesus, who accept His gift – once – for all eternity, for all people, for all time, for all sin, for every lie, word, thought, and act… His Mercy!

We don’t get it; we don’t understand His thoughts and His ways… it’s impossible for us (v33).   Mercy undeserved; free gift to all who accept Him.

Thank You Lord for this immeasurable gift of Your Mercy.  No one deserves it, yet You offer Your Mercy to everyone!

Your Mercy
