Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 3:28 NLT There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
You are all one –
In Christ, we believers are all one, united. There is no division! Not race, gender, age, financial status, disability, health, nor intelligence. Nothing separates us from this perfect Unity as the family of God in Christ.
And John 13:35 ESV “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Does our Father God see any external distinctions between us, believers in Christ who have love for one another? Friends, I’m not writing about race or gender or any such ‘current events’ controversy. Rather this is about how God views us as His people. He makes no external distinction! It is our faith and our Love which distinguish us as the people of Christ.
Sadly, we too often do make such distinctions. Yet, because we are growing in our faith, asking God to mature us as His sons and daughters… God frequently gives us new opportunities to Love, a brother or sister in need of prayer or encouragement, or it may be a stranger who seems open to hearing about the Grace of God.
So now we face this crossroad – Will we continue to categorize, distinguishing between desirable and undesirable friends, even church members?
– Or will we be His hands and feet? There are hurting, lonely brothers and sisters nearby…and we “are all one”.
Lord God, we desire to live in harmony with Your plans and purposes, help us to see that we are One with our brothers and sisters in Christ. And help us to Love.
