Today’s Encouragement is John 10:27 ESV [Jesus said] “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
My Sheep Hear –
We hear many voices, don’t we? The voices of our parents, teachers, bosses, co-workers, friends and family, social media, TV, news and on and on.
These many voices are telling us who we are, what we should do, what we should think, what is right and what is wrong. But there’s a common denominator, these are all only the voices of flawed human beings, people just like us… they’re just a little louder than our own.
And our years of hearing these voices, have caused us to pick up their thoughts, so that now, even our own voice repeats the same words.
My friends there is only One Source, only One voice, of Truth. God Himself speaks to His children. And Jesus said it, not me… “My sheep hear my voice.”
Jesus’ voice always agrees with Gods Word.
Jesus’ voice to us is that a loving brother, caring and guiding us through life.
Jesus’ voice does not condemn, criticize, mock, scold or in any way belittle us. (He knows that we are just dust – Psalm 103:14).
Jesus’ Voice speaks the Truth. He is The Truth (John 14:6)
All these other voices will still be there, and while some may be well-intended, many are deceptive and sinister lies.
Jesus is the Voice we need to hear, to heed – the Voice of Truth.
Father God, help us to listen and believe Jesus; He alone is the Voice of Truth.
