Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 5:3 NLT “Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.”
Each morning –
We are free to pray at any time, at all times, but there is something different about beginning the day, every single day, with prayer, and so communicating with our Father God.
Decades ago, when I was saved and reborn as a new creation in Christ, I recognized my desperate daily need for His presence in my life. I had made a mess of my life; like the prodigal son in Luke 15, I had wasted all the blessings God had given me. I now knew that I desperately needed God to guide me throughout the day.
I was driven to seek Him each morning by my desperation, and my deep desperate desire to become a new person… and my daily time with God, Bible reading, and prayer became my essential bread and water every morning.
Now a habit, but also a privilege and a joy each morning; First, before any other need… I come to Him. And this one thing… has developed a truly sincere faith-relationship with my Father God.
Even Jesus … Mark 1:35 NLT “Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.”
Thank You Father that You are always available, always ready, to hear your people when we come to You in prayer. Help us to make daily prayer, every morning, our highest priority; beginning the new day with You, asking to be aware that Your presence, Your Holy Spirit is with us always, guiding, leading, protecting us.
