Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 6:10 NLT “May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”
Your Will Be Done –
Jesus taught us to pray like this… and after recognizing our Loving Father is Holy (v 9), we now ask Him to bring His Kingdom and do His Will here on earth just as He does in Heaven.
It’s clear isn’t it, that this earth, the day-to-day world we live in, is a far cry from heaven! And here Jesus all but states that very thought… we Need You here Father, bring Your Kingdom of righteousness, fairness, justice, mercy, hope, and peace to this earth, to our lives, hearts, and minds!
Here we are taught by Jesus Himself, to pray for God’s Kingdom to cover and incorporate this earth… just like His Kingdom does in heaven!
There’s no question that Gods will is always done in heaven, that He is clearly the King of Heaven… and here we are taught to ask God to bring this to the earth!
A we live out the Kingdom in our lives… through love, peace, joy, patience kindness gentleness and self-control… His will is dominant over our lives, and this is His Kingdom come in earth!
Father God, we recognize that Your Will, Your plan, Your way is always best. We may not understand Your Will but we choose to trust You. Help us to remain faithful to trusting Your Will, Your Rule, and Your Kingdom in our lives.
