Today’s Encouragement is Job 28:1 (ESV) “Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold that they refine.”
A place for gold –
In this chapter Job talks about wisdom, that it cannot be found on this earth; even looking into the depths of the earth, where gold and silver are mined, will not lead you to wisdom. And he ends this chapter with a true ‘nugget’ of golden wisdom … Job 28:28 “And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
The Wisdom of God is available to you and me today, more than to any other generation on this earth ever… The Bible contains God’s Wisdom, just as the earth contains gold and silver. Just as precious metals and jewels are mined from the earth, so also is wisdom ‘mined’ from God’s Word. Just as gold mines are found all over the earth, so too is Wisdom found throughout God’s Word.
We must look for it! We must know what to look for… and then diligently search! it is available to us, and it is far more precious than the metal and gemstones which men seek with all their efforts!
Open the Word, Ask God to speak to you through His Holy Spirit and His Word. He will! – Because He loves you and He desires for you to know Him more! Allow His Word to teach you His Wisdom, His Way, His Love, His Power, His Grace.
This treasure is readily available my friends, it only requires a little effort, a little time, a little intentional seeking… to ‘mine the gold and silver’, to discover Infinite Truth, Measureless Love, Amazing Grace, and so much more.
Father God, we thank You for the Gift of Eternal Life through Jesus! We thank You for Your Word that leads us to Him, that draws us to You, that guides us in wisdom and love. You are so very good to us!
