Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 37:5-7a ESV “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. [6] He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. [7] Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him…”
He will act –
Think about that first verse for just a moment with me please. “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and He will act.” Too often we fire off a quick prayer and then charge ahead with our own plans!
Recognize that His actions are often not what we would expect because…
“He is God and we ain’t!”
Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
It’s God doing these actions not us!
Our part is to:
Commit our way
Trust in Him
Be still before Him
Wait patiently for Him
And my friends- He will Act! He will do for us – our good!
Father, please help us to trust You, to rest in You, and to wait for You.
My God fights for me
