Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 14:2 NLT The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.
If anyone seeks God –
The Lord Himself looks down… He Is looking for us!! We are among those who seek God… we read His word, we praise and worship Him, we pray and Hope in His every promise… We are among His chosen, adopted, children! We are immeasurably blessed! And as this passage reveals… He looks to see if we are seeking Him; if we are truly wise! He’s actively checking in on us to see how we’re doing!
Now my friends, this is not some harsh schoolmaster, a legalistic tyrant watching for some infraction of their own laws… No! This is our Kind, Loving Father!
He looks to see who is wisely seeking Him! And His response? When He sees us seeking Him, in any number of valid ways…. His response?
Is it possible… that His response…
Is Joy?
Could it be? Could we be a source of Joy to our Heavenly Father?
Luke 15:20 NLT “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.”
Father God, Your Love for us is far beyond our understanding! That You would seek out those people who seek You, that You would watch for us, see us turning to You, in prayer, in worship, in studying Your Word, with searching hearts… and embrace us so warmly… it is too wonderful for us to understand. Help us Lord to accept… to trust… to believe… that You Love us that much!
