Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 5:11-12a NLT “And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] Whoever has the Son has life”
Whoever has the Son –
Remember that word in John 3:16? Gave. God Gave us Jesus! We Have the Son because God already Gave Him to us, for us.
We have (because God Gave) Life Eternal, now, already! Not one day, by and by… Now!
We Already, Now, have this treasure (the Son, Eternal Life, the Love of God, complete Grace, and forgiveness…and so much more!) in these clay jars, our frail human bodies (2 Cor 4:7)
You Have the Son of God! God already gave Him to us! And Eternal Life is in Him, and so in us! Assuredly, my friends, we can be confident that we now, already, have Eternal Life!
Often, we wrongly think when our bodies die on this earth, that only then will we begin the Eternal Life. But this isn’t what scripture portrays. Read the passage again. Eternal Life is in the Son and we have the Son… now, already…
Our Eternal Life has already begun!
Father, help us to recognize the immensity of Your Gift and the transformation we have now, already undergone through faith in Jesus! That we now, already, have Eternal Life through Jesus! We pray in His Name.
