Today’s Encouragement is Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; [23] they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
New every morning-
These beautiful words of assurance, so uplifting, so faith-filled… emerge from the heart of Jeremiah in his book of Laments. He pours out his broken heart to God in this book, weeping as he writes to express his inexpressible grief and sorrow of the sin of his people and the suffering which they experienced as the direct result of their sinful choices.
Friends, God loves us so much that He tells us clearly to avoid the sin which will destroy us. He sums this up in Ten Commandments, a list of ten things, which will corrode our character, eat at our souls and our society like a cancer. We ignore God’s counsel and advice to our own peril, and so had the nation of God’s people done. And Jeremiah mourned for his people.
And out of this great mourning, comes this pinnacle of praise…
Your Love never ceases,
Your mercies never end
They are renewed every morning
And Your faithfulness Father God
Is great! It is immeasurable!
Lord, help us to see clearly how desperately we need You to save us, for we all have sinned. We rely only on Your steadfast Love, Your mercy, Your faithfulness. Thank You Lord!
