Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 16:11 ESV “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
In Your presence-
We can only imagine what it is to be in the presence of the Lord. It’s described in Revelation 1 and 4, and it is an overwhelming sight. David in writing this Psalm expressed his faith that in the Presence of the Father… Joy is full, complete, and pleasures which are indescribable at His right hand! Will you allow yourself to imagine this for a moment?
Too often we are afraid, even terrified, of being in the presence of God, but my friends fear is assigned to those who intend to harm us. We are among His chosen sons and daughters, so that when we come into our Loving Father’s Presence… Joy is Full! the Father is Full of Joy, and so will we be!
In the beautiful parable of the prodigal son, God portrayed as the father in this story, Ran to His son, threw his arms around him, and began a celebration… the Father expressed fulness of Joy! (Luke 15:20-24)
And that is the immeasurable Love which God has for us, my friends… Full of Joy. He is always ready to welcome us into His presence. We just need to turn to Him. It is up to us.
Father grant us humble hearts to turn to You, and to admit our need for you, our failures, and our desire to become fully Yours. For in Your Presence… is complete Joy!
