Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 101:4 “A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.”
Know nothing of evil –
The people of the world often mock us believers who choose to not participate in the ways of the flesh. Sadly, when we do dabble in the world’s ways, (i.e., Sin) we are then held up as hypocrites, liars, deceivers, failures! The public failures of televangelists, true or not, are held up by the world as “proof” that Christians are all fakers, preachers are all after money, that we Christians are all just pretending to be different from the rest of the world.
The enemy of our souls is always accusing and his favorite target is us, believers. We must ‘know nothing of evil’ and ensure we are focused on God and His Ways and His Truth to avoid being taken in by the deceptive lies of this world.
Remember 1 Peter 5:8 NLT Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
We are the targets of this enemy, because we are the children of the Living God. So, we can choose to walk away from perversity, know nothing of evil, and watch out for the enemy who wants to devour us!
Father we need You! Thank You for Your Grace that saves us! We need Your power and wisdom to be alert to the snares of the enemy, help us to choose You, and to know nothing of evil. You are, always, our Help (Ps 45:1).
