Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 4:8 NLT And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Fix your thoughts –
Our thoughts and managing those thoughts… are our responsibility! We are taught to “fix our thoughts” on things which are good, pure, and excellent.
What we think about determines our beliefs. And we are sadly, very easily deceived people. Might not want to admit that, but virtually everyone has fallen prey to wrong thinking, which leads into wrong believing, and then finally to wrong actions. It’s an inevitable spiral into failure.
We can fight this, counteract it by ensuring that our minds, our thoughts, are true, pure, and full of God’s Truth, His Goodness, and His Love…. This is our response to, our defense against the lies and deception of this world and of our enemy.
As we strive (it is work!) to think fix our thoughts on things that are worthy, things that are excellent and worthy of praise… What does that mean to you?
