Today’s Encouragement is Luke 2:17-18 When they [shepherds] had seen him [newborn Jesus], they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, [18] and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
Were amazed –
The first human proclamation of Jesus arrival was by a few ordinary shepherds. All they did was report to others what they had experienced. For some reason, it seems no one doubted them… ‘all who heard it were amazed’!
Lord, allow us to be amazed again, at the beautiful and precious message of Jesus; His birth, life, teaching, healing, death, burial and resurrection. This amazing life-giving message, still today brought by ordinary people, the shepherds who pastor Your flocks.
