Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
The same –
Imagine that. He isn’t frustrated by what we did or didn’t do yesterday. Not disappointed in our current performance or lack thereof… He just IS.
Remember (Ex 3:14) God said, ‘I AM’? There’s no need for Him to say more. I AM- what, we might ask… well, I AM – the same yesterday today and forever… I AM the Lord who heals you? I AM the beginning and the end. I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
So, no matter how long, from our perspective, it’s been since you spoke with God through prayer… Jesus is the same… unperturbed, patient, kind, loving, all-knowing, all-gracious, all-forgiving.
And no matter how long you have prayed, asking Him for your heart’s desire, your prayer request of so very many years… He’s not holding out on you; He’s not waiting for you to ‘get right’ so He can bless you… He knows what we need before we ask Him… He is I AM, the same yesterday, today and forever. And He wants a relationship with you.
Father help us to see the eternal, unchanging aspect of Your nature, and Christ’s, that we may be strengthened by Your never-changing, timelessness.
