Immanuel

Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 1:20-23 NLT As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. [21] And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” [22] All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: [23] “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.'” (Quote from Isaiah 7:14b NLT)

Well over 300 prophecies from the OT are fulfilled by Jesus.  Many from Isaiah and David’s Psalms.  This one was recorded by Isaiah 700 years before Jesus’ birth.

Isaiah’s prophecies are quoted in all 4 gospels, Acts and Romans.

The entire Bible is all one message.

Jesus, the son of God, is Immanuel, God with us, and from John 3:16 – all who believe in Him will have eternal life.

My friends… God is With Us!

He is not far off, He is not hostile nor angry, He is not too good for us, separated and disdainful of us.   He is With us.  He knows us.  And He loves us.

Thank you, Father, that You chose to send Your Son as Immanuel, God with us. Help us to always remember that You are always with us!

Immanuel
