Today’s Encouragement is Philippians 1:9-11 “And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, [10] so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, [11] filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”
That your love may abound –
Paul wrote to the believers in the church at Philippi that he was praying this prayer for them.
That your love may abound more and more… Believers are identified by the love they have for others.
Love with knowledge and discernment
Approve what is excellent
Be pure and blameless
Filled with the fruit of faithfulness
All of which comes through Jesus Christ
To the praise and glory of God.
All good things bring glory and honor to our God!
My friends, this prayer of blessing can be applied to you and I! Will you reread this prayer and then apply it to yourself and then to those you care for?
We can pray like this: ‘Father God, I pray that my love, our may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that I may approve what is excellent, and so that I may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to Your glory and praise my Father God.’
They will know we are Christians
