Today’s Encouragement is Luke 24:27 NLT Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
All the scriptures –
This passage is from the account of Jesus on the very day He was resurrected, walking with two of His followers to Emmaus. He taught them that the Scripture (remember there was no New Testament scripture existing at this time) was full of ‘things concerning Himself’.
My friends it truly is – all about Jesus.
As John so beautifully explains, speaking of Jesus; John 1:1 NLT “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The Bible reveals the truth about God to us. And Jesus is literally the embodiment of God. Want to understand what God is like? What God thinks about anything, How God sees our human frailty, our sinful nature, or any other thought? As you read the Bible watch for Jesus, He is everywhere! and He is the revelation of God to man.
Father God as we read Your Word, may we recognize Jesus in the Old Testament as clearly as we do in the New, and may we also learn of who You are as we look to Jesus.
