Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 1:3a NLT “The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.”
The very character of God –
My friends, God is too magnificent, too vast, too far beyond our limited human imagination for us to ‘understand Him’. His ways, His thoughts, are beyond our ability to absorb…Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. [9] For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
And yet…
Because God desires for us to be in a relationship with Him… remember He is Father and we are His children, and we are the bride of Christ (as difficult as that is to comprehend…) and because He loves us so… He sent Jesus, His Son, to save us… and to show us His own Character…
Jesus said, John 10:30 NLT “The Father and I are one.”
My friends we need not be confused or concerned about ‘what God is like.’ We know this! Because Jesus IS; He “expresses the very character of God!”
Father, we thank You for demonstrating Your nature, Your character, and Your Immeasurable Love for us through Jesus!
