Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 1:3a NLT The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.
He radiates God’s own glory –
Remember the moment when Jesus took Peter, James, and John up on the mountain? He was revealed in His Glory that day, in what is called ‘The Transfiguration’. (Why do we come up with these names?). It simply means that the human nature of the man Jesus, for that moment was overtaken by His own Glory… His Majesty, His Divine nature was revealed. Friends, Jesus is the Light of the World (and so many other things!) and His Divine Light Nature was revealed to these three men. They were so amazed they didn’t know what to say!
This Glory, the Glory of God, is described in the Old Testament as descending on the tabernacle in Moses’ day and on the Temple Solomon built. And Jesus in His Glory is described in Revelation also.
Imagine seeing, witnessing, experiencing – Jesus radiating the Glory of God!
When we read about, meditate on, consider, and even imagine, Jesus… His Immeasurable Glory is present also, because He is (was and ever shall be) Gods Own Glory!
Father help us to recognize all that Jesus is.
