Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 1:9 “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
Not ceased to pray for you –
Paul’s love and concern for the believers in Colossae led him to pray for them, continuously. Of course, he prayed for the believers in other cities, and unceasingly.
My friends, there is no greater gift we can give them to pray for another. Lift up to the Father, the needs of others, the sick, the lost, the addicted, the suffering, the self-satisfied, the desperate, the hopeless and the hopeful. Pray for the condition of their hearts, their health, their minds, their souls. He has infinite capacity to hear and to answer.
We pray from faith that He hears and that He will respond as He knows best according to His will, not ours. “Nevertheless, Your will, not mine, be done.”
We submit our prayers to Him for His consideration, He is kind, Loving and Just. He will do what He desires. Yet He listens with Love to every prayer we breathe. And so, we can always rest in His response.
Thank You Father for the privilege of prayer, speaking to You from our hearts, bringing our every need, concern, hope to You. Help us to rest in You, trusting in Your response to our prayer.
Hear our prayer O Lord
