Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
The work of the Lord –
What is the work of the Lord? Could it be different for you and me? Certainly we cannot all be carpenters building the same houses, who would live in the house I built if they had also built their own? We cannot all be cooks, for who would need to eat the food I’ve prepared if they have cooked their own?
Clearly we all have different work to do in this life, and the same is true spiritually, we are all called to serve God in various ways. It is His plan and His will that we know how we are each called to serve Him.
And serving Him is man’s greatest good. Love is supreme. We serve Him, show our Love for Him, by loving His people Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.”
Thank You Lord that our work in You, and for You is not in vain… Help us to be steadfast and immovable in serving You. Thank You Father that You will show each of us how we are to serve you today.
