Today’s Encouragement is 1 Thessalonians 2:13 “And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.”
At work in you –
God’s Word is at work in us! His word is not from men, the good news of Jesus Christ is the message from God to our ears, our minds. And Jesus himself is the Word, the fulfillment of God’s word and the reason for God’s word.
So since God’s Word is at work in us… Jesus is at work in us!
Our role is to listen to Him, obey Him, allow Him to do His work within our lives. He’s in charge of this work. This isn’t ‘work’ which we do, rather we allow Him to do His work within us. We can rest in His perfect work in us…
Father, that You would dwell in us, that You would work in our lives, that You would live through us… Lord this is our prayer, as You have designed… work in and through us as Your children.
