Today’s Encouragement is John 17:13 “But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.”
My joy fulfilled –
In Jesus’ prayer, these wonderful and rich chapters 14-17 of John, He said that He spoke to us in order that His Joy would be in us.
Consider that, (selah- pause and think about this) The Joy of Jesus, the Son of God… His Joy is available to you and me… and He has (already) fulfilled that Joy within us!
What? How is this possible? My friends, we cannot know the how… so much of God’s ways are beyond our level of understanding, thus the essential need of Faith… what we can know and rely upon, are the recorded truths in the Bible.
Billy Graham said he decided as a young man, once for all, to believe by Faith, everything written in the Bible, to accept it as the God-inspired truth.
So my friends, the Joy which Jesus Himself has, is also available to you and me. He said it. It is Truth.
Father help us to grow in faith, believing all that You have provided for us in the Bible, Your Word to us. And Father, may we come to experience this Joy, the Joy of Christ. We ask in Jesus’ precious Name, the Name above all names…
