Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 3:26-27 NIV “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, [27] for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
Clothed yourselves with Christ –
Is it possible that God loves you and me so much that:
He gave us a beautiful garden to live in with Him, and only one rule.
When we broke that one rule He was obligated by His perfect nature, His integrity, to take us out of that perfect garden.
He loved us so much that He delivered us from bondage to Egypt. He loved us so much that He distilled His wisdom into 10 rules, and if we just obeyed those 10 we would have a much better life, and peace with God and men.
And if we messed up, as He knew we would, He loved us so much that He prescribed a sacrifice we could make to erase our mistakes.
Is it possible that when He knew the time was right – He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die (& to rise again) for our salvation? To eternally remove our sins, failures, and mistakes and allow us to be clothed with Christ, perfected by Jesus, that we may live with Him in this brief lifetime… and eternally.
Thank You Father for Your patience, mercy, grace and Love. Help us to live in the freedom You have granted us, and to recognize it is only because we are clothed in Christ.
