Today’s Encouragement is Romans 1:17 “For in it [the gospel of Christ] the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith.’”
From faith …for faith –
The amplified version translates this phrase as “both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith].”
Stay with me here because often when a concept seems difficult, greater study will reveal greater truth.
Consider the alternative, choosing to doubt God would certainly lead to greater doubts, building from doubt to [even more] doubt, wouldn’t it? And so my friends with Faith. For this reason the mustard seed of faith grows into a powerful Faith. The requirement for such growth? More faith!
We walk by faith; we choose faith daily, moment by moment, and doubt is always lurking in the shadows ready to poison our Faith.
Feed your Faith by regularly feeding on the Word. By refusing to entertain doubt, the poisonous lies that will steal our joy and our very salvation. The strength of our Faith, like a person’s physical strength, is determined by the nutrition (feeding on God’s Word) and exercise (acting upon the measure of Faith we already have).
Our Father help us to both live out the Faith we already have, and to nourish our Faith with Your Word. And this to grow From Faith… and For Faith… and To even greater Faith.
