Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places”
With every blessing –
This verse contains an intriguing use of the word ‘bless’.
- First to Bless God (shouldn’t this always be First?), to honor and praise Him for His goodness, love and mercy.
- Because He Has blessed us…Already, not ‘will someday’. He has (already) blessed us!… And how has He already blessed us?
- Only with EVERY spiritual blessing. Wait, every blessing? Surely this is an exaggeration… I don’t “feel” like I’m blessed with every spiritual blessing, (do you?) But, my friends, we are reading God’s truth; He speaks and it IS! He creates with just His thoughts or His words, or just a breath.
Father open our eyes to the incredible blessings you’ve already given us, in every way. You are good; please help us recognize how good you are to us Father!
