Today’s Encouragement is John 14:7 “If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
You do know Him –
Jesus declared to His disciples, “You Know God the Father, and you have Seen Him.” And in John 10:30 He said, “I and the Father are one.”
We might be tempted to think of Jesus as a son who has some of the characteristics of his dad, a really good substitute for the Father, or maybe a really brilliant teacher, inspired by God, to teach love and peace to the world. But my friends, Jesus told us, here, and in other scripture, that He IS God! “I and the Father are One.”
When we read the words of Jesus, we are hearing the words of God Himself, Jesus isn’t a prophet, a great teacher, nor a second-hand god… He IS God. And one reason He came is to show us the Father. Now, because of Jesus, we Do know the Father God!
I and my Father are one

The Mount of Transfiguration did it for me! He became what He is: Transcendent God! Then He returned to the Man-God, in human skin! What glory to behold! And even after that, they doubted. Why do I wonder that I can doubt as well? I’m in good company!
