Let these men go

Today’s Encouragement is John 18:8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.”

Let these men go –

As Judas brought soldiers to arrest Jesus, even then, Jesus saved His own.  ‘Take me, let these men go free.’

Interesting that although Jesus was the ‘criminal’ being arrested, His command still had full force! And the disciples were indeed let go.

We too, have been let go by Jesus, freed from all sin for all time (Romans 8:2), freed to walk in new life with Him (1 Corinthians 5:17), freed to become all that God has planned for us (Jeremiah 29:11).

We often hear of one narrowing escaping death, pledging in the overwhelming gratitude of the moments immediately following, “I’m gonna live a new life, or I’m going to be eternally grateful to God.”  Friend – this is us!  Now, every day, we are set free!

What will you do with the freedom, this new life you’ve been granted today?

Thank You Jesus for paying the terrible price of our freedom.  Help us to live our lives in grateful recognition of how truly blessed we are by Your love and immeasurable sacrifice.

    1. Thanks brother. It’s always a blessing when God reveals a nugget of gold from His Word!
