Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 7:8-11 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. [9] Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? [10] Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? [11] If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
How much more –
Separated from her mother, alone and cold, the calf cried, throughout the long dark night. Her mother responded with long mournful cries.
The rancher, though sleeping warmly, heard her cries in the still of night. He arose, filled with compassion, responsibility, and concern for the calf and her mother and dressed himself to brave the cold night, and reunite mother and calf.
And such is the compassion of our Father for his own, even the children He adopted as His … He will, filled with compassion and care… arise and come to your rescue. Everyone – Every Person! All who ask will receive! He is Good! He will give good gifts to those who ask, who cry out for Him.
His compassion far exceeds anything we can imagine. He waits for you to Ask!
Lord help Your people to ask, to cry out to You, then to wait for You, for Your perfect timing and Your perfect response, and finally to accept Your response, whatever it may be, as the best for us. Thank You for Your great compassion for us Father.
