Today’s Encouragement is Exodus 3:10-12a Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” [11] But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” [12] He said, “But I will be with you.”
But I will be with you –
Moses was ‘all in’ when God was telling him (in verses 7-9) that He’s heard, seen, and now was coming to deliver his people from their suffering… Moses was probably saying to himself, “Yeah Lord! Come on – save your people!” Until… God said, matter-of-factly, “Come, I will send you.”
“What? Wait! Me?”
“Who am I? Please send someone else. I don’t speak very well…” Moses tried everything to get out of this call of God!
Friends, God works through people. His works are for people and done through people. He sends someone… just as He sent Jesus to provide salvation for all who believe… He had previously sent Moses, David, Elijah, and numerous others to do His work in this earth. God sends, works in, and through, those who love Him and honor Him.
And most of us respond just like Moses did… “Who? Me?”
And God replies … “But I will be with you.”
Lord God, we recognize our inadequacy for many of the challenges we face, we can only succeed if You are with us. Send us Lord, to do Your will, and Lord, thank You that You will be with us, always. Even to the end of the earth.
Here I am
