Why Lord?

Today’s Encouragement is Ex 5:22 Then Moses turned to the LORD and said, “O Lord, why have you done evil to this people? Why did you ever send me?”

Why Lord?

God sent Moses to deliver His people from slavery.  God was clear this was His purpose and His plan. Yet Pharaoh, when Moses first asked him to let Israel go and worship God, responded by making their work significantly harder.  So much harder that the people complained to Moses, and Moses himself complained to God in this passage. Why Lord?

My friends it may look bad now, the situation and circumstances may be dark and darkening, but for God’s people, His deliverance is always and still assured!   This is why we wait for Him to act in His time!

A short while later these same complaining people walked freely out of centuries of bondage loaded with the riches of their captors!  God sent Moses to Deliver them.  Centuries later Jesus was sent also, the perfect Deliverer.

Thank You Father for delivering us through Jesus.  Thank You that He came.  Thank You that He is coming again!

My deliverer
