Show you my Faith

Today’s Encouragement is James 2:18 & 26 [18] But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.  [26] As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

I will show you my faith by my deeds –

Faith is only visible- through our actions, deeds, works.

I can only show, demonstrate, prove, my faith… by my actions.  That is, I do the things which show I have the underlying faith.

Now, I can do things to try to prove that I have faith, but that is not the same as living out my faith.

It is living out faith, taking action based upon faith, that proves faith to be genuine.

Consider also who we’re trying to ‘prove our faith’ to.  Is it the world around us, our friends and family, our church, ourselves?  Or is it to the Lord?  Friends, He needs no proof… He knows the beginning from the end, and you and I inside out…  He knows the depth of our faith, or lack of such depth.  So, my friends… live out your faith in sincerity, in deed and in truth.   Because if there is no deed done in faith, there is no faith… Faith without deeds is dead.

Father bring our faith to life, help us to live out our faith in our daily actions.  That people may see our faith and be drawn to you.

    1. We don’t know everything. So when something like this happens, something that just ‘seems wrong’ with our current, and limited understanding, is it possible that that the issue is with ‘our limited understanding’?
