Be Patient and Stand Firm

Today’s Encouragement is James 5:8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

Be patient – stand firm –

In today’s me-first, take-charge, my-way world, patience is an often disrespected or at least overlooked virtue.  

Why we wait patiently on the Lord is important.  If we wait due to doubt and fear of mistakes, we’re not trusting God.  Instead, we’re encouraged to wait patiently on Him, to stand firm in Faith, because we are trusting Him with the outcome.  His coming is near.  He will come through. 

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  

Notice both verses tell us to Stand Firm!  Standing is waiting friends… so wait in confidence, Peace, and Faith.  He is not slow in keeping His promises (2 Peter 3:9).
