Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
And this is His Commandment –
My friends, God recognizes our frailty, our inability to obey Him fully, our weaknesses. Remember He made us… and He knows us… perfectly. So, be assured you aren’t pulling anything over on Him! Because He knows us so completely, He recognizes we need things to be simple. We didn’t do too well with the hundreds of laws of Moses, and even the 10 commandments we failed to honor…. So, with Christ, God brought to us a new plan, a new agreement, a new covenant relationship.
Essentially, He said, “Look, I get it. You can’t do what I’ve laid out as the right way, the best way to live. So, I’ve sent Jesus to bring you to me, to restore us to a secure, clear relationship, and to bring you our new agreement, which is simply this: Honor Jesus as your Lord, accept Him as Savior, as My Son. And also, please love each other. I’ve made it as simple as possible for you. You can do this.”
Thank You Lord for the grace, mercy and love you have given us freely through Jesus. We gratefully accept Your perfect gift.
